Google Ads Integration
Send offline conversions and enhanced conversion data to Google Ads for better attribution.
Overview
Google Ads Enhanced Conversions and Offline Conversion Import allow server-side conversion tracking. Scout captures click IDs (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) and sends conversion events with hashed user data for improved attribution.
Scout captures Google click identifiers from URL parameters, associates them with user sessions, then uploads conversions to Google Ads when purchase or lead events occur.
Requirements
Event Mapping
Scout events are mapped to Google Ads conversion actions:
Click ID Tracking
Scout automatically captures gclid, gbraid, and wbraid parameters from landing page URLs. These are stored in the user session and sent with conversion events for accurate click-to-conversion attribution.
Enhanced Conversions
Scout hashes user data (email, phone, address) using SHA-256 and sends it as enhanced conversion data. This improves conversion measurement when cookies are limited.
Troubleshooting
Conversions not appearing
Google Ads conversions can take up to 24 hours to appear. Verify gclid is being captured in Scout events. Check conversion action status in Google Ads.
OAuth connection expired
Re-authenticate in Scout > Destinations > Google Ads. OAuth tokens are refreshed automatically, but may expire if permissions are revoked.
