LinkedIn CAPI Integration

Send server-side conversion events to LinkedIn for B2B campaign measurement.

Overview

LinkedIn Conversions API enables server-side conversion tracking for LinkedIn Ads campaigns. Scout sends events directly to LinkedIn for improved B2B attribution and measurement.

Scout captures events and LinkedIn click identifiers (li_fat_id), hashes user data, and sends conversion events to LinkedIn CAPI. This is especially valuable for B2B with longer sales cycles.

Event Mapping

Scout events are mapped to LinkedIn conversion rules:

Click ID Tracking

Scout captures li_fat_id from cookies and URL parameters, associating it with user sessions for LinkedIn ad attribution.

Data Processing

Scout hashes email using SHA-256 before sending to LinkedIn. Company name and job title can be included for enhanced B2B matching.

Troubleshooting

Conversions not appearing in Campaign Manager

LinkedIn conversions can take up to 24 hours. Verify conversion rule is active and mapped to the correct campaign.

Low match rate for B2B events

Include business email addresses for better matching. Personal emails have lower match rates on LinkedIn.
